Betsy Q presents workshops for educators and librarians by incorporating motions and audience participation with her music in the workshop. Including the teachers on stage at times, she demonstrates how her music can be both educational and fun! Betsy Q also shows how art can go hand in hand with her music in the classroom by including artwork, books, and many other ideas for teachers to use to enhance their classroom experiences. Her song," The Plant Song" tells about the parts of a plant. "Out Of This World" names all the planets in a fun ride into the universe and "In America" is a patriotic song for children. "Im Special" is a song about self-esteem and "Read A Good Book" is a rap song that shows how reading can be fun! These are just some examples of how Betsy Q music can be a great teaching tool for teachers and librarians. Betsy Q has presented workshops/concerts for educators in conferences for the VAECE, Richmond VAECE, Tidewater VAECE, Virginia Alliance of Family Child Care Association and PACE. She has also presented these workshops for University of Virginia, Wise and Longwood College student teachers. Betsy Q will be doing a workshop at a conference for the librarians in the state of Michigan in April of 2004. Contact Betsy Q at: betsyq@betsyq.com or 804-457-4614 for concerts or workshops. |
