Betsy Q. Music A great resource for teachers Teachers from all over the United States use “Betsy Q” music in their classrooms. Spanning topics from self-esteem and science to making friends and reading made fun, Betsy Q’s music tends to cover requests from educators for songs treating specific educational needs…a scholastic enhancement in the classroom. Emphasis has been put on the standards of learning in each state and her music is a great resource for teachers so they can accomplish their objectives. Here are some examples of how her music is a Virginia SOL resource. There are many songs under each of the following subject categories: Science {earth, environment, weather} Social Science {self-esteem, feelings, handling anger} Animals, reptiles, insects Some songs are just for fun! “In my classroom, Betsy Q songs are an integral part of the curriculum. Special Needs Children: “Betsy Q” music is used extensively with these children. Children with ADD or ADHD, Autism and the hearing impaired have benefited greatly with these songs.
